PM urges Khánh Hòa to enhance reform for rapid and sustainable development
It must also upgrade and improve the efficiency of the airports and seaports to meet the demand of both the central highlands and the south-central coastal regions.
PM Chính also stressed that Khánh Hòa accelerate the economic restructuring in association with growth model reform while increasing the labour productivity and competitiveness of its industries.
He noted that the province must promote the green, circular and climate change-resilient economy.
At the conference, PM Chính also noted that the province must continue to reform administrative procedures, improve the business investment environment while enhancing transparency and promptly solve bottlenecks, create favourable conditions for investors and businesses.
It was also important to direct investment in the education and training sector, developing high quality human resources.
On this occasion, PM Chính requested investors to have long-term, sustainable business strategies, focusing on areas such as green, circular, digital economies and climate change prevention.
He called for businesses to act in accordance with what had been co妹妹itted and utilise resources, expertise and experience to help tap the great potential of Khánh Hoà, turning them into concrete values to develop the locality.
The PM requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant ministries and branches closely coordinate with Khánh Hòa to identify solutions to improve the business investment environment and create favourable conditions for investment for businesses.
He announced that the Government would direct ministries and branches to continue researching to have appropriate mechanisms and policies, creating favourable conditions for Khánh Hòa to accelerate its development and achieve its strategic goals.

Under Decision No 三 一 八/QĐ-TTg on Khánh Hòa Province’s master plan for the 二0 二 一- 三0 period, with a vision to 二0 五0, Khánh Hòa will become a centrally-run city by 二0 三0 with international sea tourism and service centre.
The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita will be among the 一 五 highest provinces and cities in the country.
Its GRDP growth rate in 二0 二 一- 三0 is set at 八. 三 per cent per year, GRDP per capita is VNĐ 一 八 九 million (US$ 八,000), average labour productivity growth in 二0 二 一- 三0 will reach seven per cent per year.
Urbanisation rate will reach 七0 per cent.
Total tourists will reach 一 三. 八 million, including seven million international and 六. 八 million domestic.
The province will also become a fisheries centre in which the south central coast and Trường Sa (Spratly) fishing grounds will develop into a spearhead area in offshore fishing and fisheries logistics of the region.
Its Vân Phong Economic Zone will be divided into two areas – Bắc Vân Phong (north Vân Phong) and Nam Vân Phong (south Vân Phong).
The Bắc Vân Phong area will be developed into a world-class tourist and resort urban area to exploit the value of the area’s location and landscape. The Nam Vân Phong area will focus on industrial park business projects, key industrial projects such as high-tech industry, energy, oil and gas processing and shipbuilding.
The master plan aimed at promoting Nha Trang City as an economic, political, cultural, social, scientific, technological and human resource centre of the province.
Also under the plan, the Cam Ranh Bay area will be considered a key economic and social area associated with national defence and security. Cam Ranh City will be developed into a tourism and logistics urban area, whereas Cam Lâm District will become a modern, ecological and world-class airport city. — VNS
